You will be sure to find everything you need to enjoy the Lake of the Ozarks in 2021 at the ONLY recreational boat show in the St. Louis area this year! In two weeks the St. Charles Convention Center will open its doors for the Lake of the Ozarks Marine Dealers and Kelly’s Port is excited to again be a part of another big show. In this week’s blog, learn everything you need to know to attend the St. Charles Boat Show.
Our staff at Kelly’s Port is working hard to prepare the inventory for the big show and the Lake Ozark Marine Dealers are taking precautions to ensure everyone's safety. The show may look a little different this year but after last year we are just excited to get back to business. Here are a few of the things you will need to know before attending the show.
COVID-19 Precautions
The St. Charles Convention Center has implemented AtmosAir, an air purification technology that has been installed as well as UV Lighting into the HVAC system. The air purification technology will produce hospital quality air circulated throughout the convention center and will continue to follow recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local authorities as the situation develops.
- Masks will be mandatory, per local mandate, within the convention center during the entire boat show and setup.
- Face covering signage for attendees throughout, and upon entering the venue to promote appropriate social distancing
- Physical barriers added to combat cross-contamination in higher traffic areas.
- Multiple hand sanitizer and handwashing stations will be available for all dealers, guests, and employees.
- If staff comes in contact with a guest, they’re to remove gloves, wash hands, and put on new gloves before returning to work.
- LOMDA will work with the convention center staff to ensure cleaning of common areas on a regular basis.
- Portable hand sanitizing stations are available throughout the venue at strategic areas of transition.
- Dealers are encouraged to set booths and bulk space to encourage social distancing.
- Reduction in venue capacity enables appropriate physical distancing of six feet, with signage throughout the entire venue.
- Carpet in show aisles will be at a minimum to enhance the thorough cleaning and sanitation efforts.
- Restrooms are sanitized after each high guest use periods, using scientifically approved chemicals and procedures.
- Limiting of furniture in pre-function areas, use of stanchions to create boundaries, and doors will remain open to reduce touchpoints.
