The show may look a little different this year but after last year we are just excited to get back to business. Here are a few of the things you will need to know before attending the show.
COVID-19 Precautions
The Overland Park Convention Center is the first venue in the Midwest to receive the Global Biorisk Advisory Council’s star accreditation. This is the industry’s only breakout prevention, response, and recovery accreditation for facilities. Under the guidance of GBAC, the most stringent protocols for cleaning, disinfection, and infectious disease prevention are implemented throughout the entire facility.
- Masks will be mandatory, per local mandate, within the convention center during the entire boat show and setup.
- Face covering signage for attendees throughout, and upon entering the venue to promote appropriate social distancing
- Physical barriers added to combat cross-contamination in higher traffic areas.
- Multiple hand sanitizer and hand washing stations will be available for all dealers, guests, and employees.
- If staff comes in contact with a guest, they’re to remove gloves, wash hands, and put on new gloves before returning to work.
- LOMDA will work with the convention center staff to ensure cleaning of common areas on a regular basis.
- Portable hand sanitizing stations are available throughout the venue at strategic areas of transition.
- Dealers are encouraged to set booths and bulk space to encourage social distancing.
- Reduction in venue capacity enables appropriate physical distancing of six feet, with signage throughout the entire venue.
- Carpet in show aisles will be at a minimum to enhance the thorough cleaning and sanitation efforts.
- Restrooms are sanitized after each high guest use periods, using scientifically approved chemicals and procedures.
- Limiting of furniture in pre-function areas, use of stanchions to create boundaries, and doors will remain open to reduce touch points.
